We are committed to eradicating all forms of modern slavery and forced labour.
Earthy Tabs – Modern Slavery Statement
1. Introduction
Earthy Tabs is committed to operating ethically, responsibly, and transparently across every part of our business. Our purpose is to reduce environmental waste while supplying safer, more sustainable cleaning solutions. As part of this responsibility, we recognise the importance of identifying, preventing, and addressing modern slavery risks within our supply chain and operations.
This Modern Slavery Statement outlines the steps we take—and continue to strengthen—to ensure our products are made and delivered under conditions that respect human rights and uphold dignity for all workers involved.
2. Our Business
Earthy Tabs produces dissolvable, commercial-grade cleaning tablets that replace traditional plastic chemical cans. Our operations span:
- •Product research and development
- •Manufacturing partnerships (Australia, Sri Lanka, and/or Asia depending on supplier)
- •Packaging suppliers
- •Logistics, warehousing, and distribution across Australia
- •Wholesale and direct-to-business sales
- •Online e-commerce through EarthyTabs.com
We work with suppliers who provide raw materials, packaging components, production facilities, and freight services.
3. Our Supply Chain
Our supply chain includes:
- •Manufacturers of cleaning tablet formulations
- •Packaging & printing providers
- •Raw material suppliers for surfactants, fragrances, binders, and tableting agents
- •Warehouse and fulfilment partners
- •Domestic and international logistics providers
We acknowledge that parts of our supply chain—particularly in manufacturing and international logistics—may operate in regions or industries with elevated modern slavery risks, including:
- •Low-wage labour environments
- •Contract or migrant labour
- •Packaging production
- •Chemical input manufacturing
Earthy Tabs is committed to working only with suppliers who demonstrate ethical labour practices and transparency.
4. Our Commitment
Earthy Tabs does not tolerate any form of:
- •Forced labour
- •Debt bondage
- •Child labour
- •Human trafficking
- •Exploitation linked to recruitment fees or excessive overtime
- •Unsafe or coercive working environments
We are committed to continuous improvement and building long-term partnerships with suppliers who uphold these values.
5. Identified Modern Slavery Risks
Based on our assessment, the following areas present potential risk:
5.1 Manufacturing Partners
Manufacturing facilities, particularly those outside Australia, may involve:
- •High-pressure output schedules
- •Outsourced labour
- •Temporary or migrant labour
These factors can increase vulnerability to exploitation.
5.2 Packaging Supply & Raw Materials
Industries such as plastics, pulp moulding, printing, and chemical inputs may involve complex, multi-tier supply chains where transparency is limited.
5.3 Freight & Logistics
International freight and warehousing involve seasonal labour, sub-contracting layers, and migrant workforce dependency, which can elevate risk in certain regions.
6. Actions Taken to Address These Risks
Earthy Tabs has implemented the following steps to reduce and manage modern slavery risks:
6.1 Supplier Vetting & Onboarding
Before partnering with suppliers, we assess:
- •Labour standards and workplace safety
- •Employment practices
- •Certifications and audits (ISO, BSCI, SEDEX where applicable)
- •Transparency and willingness to provide documentation
- •Policies on child labour, forced labour, and worker rights
6.2 Ethical Supplier Agreements
All suppliers must agree to:
- •Comply with international labour standards
- •Reject forced labour practices
- •Support fair wages and safe working conditions
- •Provide transparency on recruitment policies
- •Allow audits or inspections upon request
6.3 Ongoing Monitoring
We maintain regular communication with our manufacturers and supply partners to confirm:
- •Working conditions remain safe and ethical
- •No subcontracting occurs without prior approval
- •All workers are employed voluntarily and fairly compensated
6.4 Internal Training
Our team is trained to identify modern slavery red flags, engage ethically with suppliers, and escalate concerns immediately.
7. Future Improvements
Earthy Tabs is committed to strengthening our approach every year. Our future actions include:
- •Introducing a structured supplier audit process
- •Requiring updated certifications and worker welfare documentation annually
- •Increasing traceability for raw material sourcing
- •Conducting supplier site visits where feasible
- •Implementing a grievance mechanism for workers within our supply chain
- •Publishing an annual review of our modern slavery controls and improvements
8. Reporting & Escalation
If concerns arise—either internally or through external reporting—we will:
- •Investigate promptly
- •Engage with the supplier to understand the issue
- •Require immediate corrective actions
- •Suspend or terminate the supplier relationship if serious non-compliance is identified
Any concerns can be reported confidentially to:
